3.5.1.13 stínítko
chránič (3.5.1.1) pokrývající buď oblast očí, nebo oblast očí a celý obličej nebo jeho části.
Poznámka 1 k položce: Tento termín má proměnlivé běžné použití:
- někdy se používá ve významu stejném jako obličejová clona nebo obličejový štít;
- někdy se používá ve významu pouze čočka a její případné okolí, tj. část obličejové clony/štítu, která poskytuje ochranu očí a obličeje. " Čočka a její případné okolí" zahrnuje jak ty chrániče, které mají jeden kus průhledného plastového materiálu tvořícího ochranu očí a obličeje, tak jiné, např. pro sváření, které mají skutečnou čočku ( nebo filtr) umístěnou v neprůhledném štítu chránícím zbytek obličeje;
- někdy se používá pro označení čočky a jejího případného okolí, které je namontováno na ochranné nebo nechranné přilbě; a
- někdy se používá pro označení čočky a jejího případného okolí v celoobličejovém těsně nebo volně přiléhajícím ochranném prostředku dýchacích cest.
Poznámka 2 k položce: Ochranný výkon a chráněné oblasti jsou definovány v příslušné normě; chráněné oblasti by neměly být automaticky považovány za stejné jako chráněné oblasti.
3.5.1.13 visor

Note 1 to entry: This term has variable common usage:
— it is sometimes used to mean the same as face screen or face shield;
— it is sometimes used to mean only the lens and its surround, if any, i.e. the part of a face screen/shield that provides the protection to the eyes and face. “The lens and its surround, if any”, includes both those protectors having a single piece of transparent plastic material to form the eye and face protection, and others, e.g. for welding, that have a true lens (or filter) mounted within an opaque shield to protect the rest of the face;
— it is sometimes used to mean the lens and its surround, if any, that is mounted on a protective or non-protective helmet; and
— it is sometimes used to mean the lens and its surround, if any, in a full face tightor loose-fitting respiratory protective device.
Note 2 to entry: The protective performance and the areas to be protected are defined in the relevant standard; the areas to be protected should not automatically be assumed to be the same as the areas covered.
