What are the designated standards?

To specify the technical requirements for products arising from a government regulation or other relevant technical regulation, the competent ministries and other central administrative authorities whose jurisdiction covers the relevant area may designate Czech technical standards, other technical standards, or technical documents of international or foreign organizations, or other technical documents containing more detailed technical requirements (designated standards). Pursuant to Section 4a of Act No. 22/1997 Coll., on technical requirements for products, as amended, the ÚNMZ publishes in the ÚNMZ Bulletin, in addition to harmonized Czech technical standards, the designated standards, their amendments, or their repeal. At the same time, it specifies the technical regulation to which these standards apply.
