Specified products

"Specified products " within the Czech Republic are products that pose an increased risk to legitimate interests. These products are defined by Act No. 22/1997 Coll. , on technical requirements for products. In the Czech Republic, specified products fall under the scope of both Act No. 22/1997 Coll. and Act No. 90/2016 Coll. on the conformity assessment of specified products.

Manufacturers or importers may place a specified (designated) product on the market (or put it into service) only if it meets the technical requirements and its conformity has been assessed in accordance with the procedure established by the relevant implementing regulation (i.e., CE marking, Ccz marking, or Csk marking) and an EC Declaration of Conformity or another document specified in the regulation (e.g., a declaration of performance for construction products) must have been issued for it.
